Tally's menu bar popover: Claude at 98% of its 7-day limit with a warning, OpenAI Codex on a Business plan with 304.4K tokens today, and Google Gemini at 0 of 10K requests per day.

What Tally does

  1. 01Limits

Claude’s 5-hour and weekly windows, model-scoped caps like Fable, Codex rate windows and Antigravity quota pools, each with its reset time.

  2. 02Pace

Projects your current burn rate forward, so you read “Runs out in 2h 10m” while there’s still time to slow down.

  3. 03Spend

Daily cost from the Anthropic and OpenAI admin APIs, Codex workspace credit caps and Claude usage credits, with alerts at thresholds you set.

  4. 04History

Backfills up to a year from your local Claude Code and Codex logs into a dashboard with heatmaps and searchable sessions.

Dashboard

The whole picture, one click away.

Open the dashboard from the popover for tokens per provider, a year-long activity heatmap and token activity for today, 7, 30 or 90 days, or the past year.

Tally dashboard on macOS: token totals for Claude (438.5M, 98% of its rate limit), Codex (609.1M) and Gemini, a compute heatmap covering twelve months, and a provider token activity chart.

Claude

Every limit Anthropic enforces, not just the 5-hour one.

Tally reads the sign-in Claude Code already keeps in your Keychain and shows the 5-hour session, the weekly limit and model-scoped weekly caps side by side, each with its reset time. Pace is measured against the window, so a busy morning shows up as a warning, not a lockout.

OpenAI Codex

Live rate windows and the workspace credit limit.

Codex’s rate windows come straight from your Codex sign-in, alongside your plan and the credit limit your workspace admin set. When credits run low you hear about it in Tally before “Workspace credits depleted” stops a task halfway.

Session history

Every session, searchable.

Tally parses the Claude Code and Codex logs already on your Mac into one table. Filter by provider, search by model and scope it to today, 7, 30 or 90 days, or a year, with input, output and cached tokens in their own columns.

Providers

Four providers. One menu bar icon.

  • Claude

5-hour and weekly limits, model caps, usage credits. API cost via the Anthropic Admin API.

  • OpenAI Codex

Live rate windows and workspace credit limits. API cost via the OpenAI Admin API.

  • Gemini

Gemini CLI quotas for Workspace and Code Assist accounts, plus API rate limits.

  • Antigravity

The Gemini and Claude + GPT quota pools, read from the Antigravity app or agy CLI.

Track up to 10 accounts across providers, with personal and work accounts kept apart.

Privacy

Local-first, by design.

Tally reads what’s already on your Mac and talks to providers directly. The details are in the privacy policy.

  • Credentials stay in your Keychain

API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and used only to talk to the provider directly. They are never sent to Tally’s servers or to anyone else.

  • Usage is read on your Mac

Limits come from the providers you configure and history from the Claude Code and Codex logs already on disk. Reading local sign-ins and logs needs your consent during setup.

  • Only operational data leaves

Tally sends limited operational data, such as diagnostics, licensing and trial checks, and support requests, to keep the app working. We don’t sell personal data.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which providers does Tally track?

Claude (5-hour and weekly limits, model-scoped weekly caps such as Fable, usage credits), OpenAI Codex (live rate windows, workspace credit limits), Gemini (CLI quotas and API rate limits) and Antigravity (its Gemini and Claude + GPT quota pools). Developer mode adds API cost from the Anthropic and OpenAI admin APIs.

How does it know how close I am to a limit?

Tally reads the sign-ins your tools already use, like Claude Code’s credentials in the Keychain or your Codex sign-in, and asks the provider for your current windows. It then projects your recent pace forward to show warnings like “Runs out in 2h 10m”, and can notify you when usage or daily cost crosses a threshold you set.

Does my data stay on my Mac?

Tally is local-first. API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and are never sent to Tally’s servers. Usage is fetched directly from providers and stored on your Mac. Tally does send limited operational data, such as diagnostics, licensing and trial checks, and support requests.

Can I track personal and work accounts?

Yes. Add up to 10 accounts across providers and label them, so a personal Claude plan and a work API organization stay separate, each polled on its own.

How does pricing work?

Tally includes a free trial. After that, a one-time lifetime license for one Mac unlocks it, with future updates included. Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy and your license key arrives by email.

What do I need to run it?

macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel. Tally runs in the menu bar, with no Dock icon. It’s macOS-only today; Windows support is planned.

Know where you stand before the limit does.
